Recap | The Rap City Series Finale Was Wack!!!

Before hitting the town on Saturday night, I stayed home to catch the series finale of BET's "Rap City," and I was terribly disappointed! Yes, they brought back all of the previous hosts, but nonetheless, I was not impressed!

Rap City was the best thing next to YO! MTV Raps, and as the longest running hip hop show in history, I would think they would go out with a bang! Most of the celebrities invited back were locals (ie: Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, Jada, etc.) No offense to them, but everyone knows you can call Jim Jones 5 minutes before a concert to come thru as long as the A, C, & D lines run there. (smh sad but tru)

50, Jeezy, LL, Luda, Busta, Bow Wow, and a couple others also came thru, and the only exciting part was when Busta had everyone doing the " arab money" dance. (peep video below)

I guess I shouldn't be surprised since BET is on some other ish these days, but I was really looking forward to a star-filled finale with amazing surprises, and its not what I got!

Katt Williams Arrested in New York

Comedian Katt Williams was arrested on gun charges in New York this past Thursday. According to the NYPD, Williams and 6 others were taken in early Thursday morning after police found 3 guns ( .40 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun, a 9 mm Taurus, and a .45 caliber Glock). He was later let out on bail, and appeared at Carnegie Hall. NYFab! will keep you posted...(im smh tho...)

The streets are talking, and they're saying that Beyonce is interested in performing at President-Elect Barack Obama's Inauguration. Could this be true? According to the AP, Beyonce commented saying, "I can't wait. I feel like all of us, we're ready to do whatever we have to do. Whatever they want — if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I'm there, and I'm ready. I've never been so patriotic! I'm just beyond excited." January 20, 2009 will definitely be a day in history, so I 'll keep you up-to-date on any other celebrity rumors I hear!

For those of you who don't know, November marks the one-year anniversary of NYFab! In lieu of this fab! milestone, we will be hosting various events around the city, so please look out for info later on in the month.
