Recap | The Rap City Series Finale Was Wack!!!

Before hitting the town on Saturday night, I stayed home to catch the series finale of BET's "Rap City," and I was terribly disappointed! Yes, they brought back all of the previous hosts, but nonetheless, I was not impressed!

Rap City was the best thing next to YO! MTV Raps, and as the longest running hip hop show in history, I would think they would go out with a bang! Most of the celebrities invited back were locals (ie: Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, Jada, etc.) No offense to them, but everyone knows you can call Jim Jones 5 minutes before a concert to come thru as long as the A, C, & D lines run there. (smh sad but tru)

50, Jeezy, LL, Luda, Busta, Bow Wow, and a couple others also came thru, and the only exciting part was when Busta had everyone doing the " arab money" dance. (peep video below)

I guess I shouldn't be surprised since BET is on some other ish these days, but I was really looking forward to a star-filled finale with amazing surprises, and its not what I got!

News Fab | No More BET Rap City

According to sources, the last episode of BET's Rap City will air in the middle of November. Apparently ratings have been steadily declining leaving executives no choice but to replace the historic "hip hop source" with a new show called "The Deal."

This new video show will play “the latest and great videos that include pop-up information, facts and quirky tidbits on the artist and/or the song itself,” a description closely resembling Pop Up Video’s “info nuggets.”

Rap City's infamous "booth" will still remain a part of the show.

ps- I'm not surprised because ever since Big Tigger left, the show has been ridiculously wack. No disrespect, but its the truth!
