Recap | Trey Songz @ Prime

Even though it was raining Sunday night, I headed out to Prime for Trey Songz's celebrity bash. My girl FranScene met me there, and clearly we didn't get the memo about the "video vixen" attire. I felt completely underdressed, and yes I know its NYC, but chicks were in "rare" form. Kast told me that there was a Ron Browz video shoot, so maybe that was the reason. Either way, I knew that it was gonna be a crazy night.

I tried to take a picture of the line but the camera + rain dont mix, but lemme just tell yall that I only peeped 3 dudes in line. It was clearly nothing but females at first, so big-ups to the boi Trey Songz for bringing out the chicks in their minis & pumps, even if that meant getting wet in the rain!

So we got in there around 11:30, and the place wasn't really packed yet, so we sat down at a table to check out the scenery. (fyi...it was dumb cold in there for no reason so thanks to Prime, I have the sniffles) The few men that were in there during that time just sat down to check out the scenery themselves, and for them, it musta been heaven (lol). For me, I just laughed as madd chicks brushed up on the couple of dudes that were there tryin' to cop a drink (so much for Ms. Independent)

As I sat down, I noticed that Kenya from ANTM was in the building, and a couple folks were hype to take pics with her...but just a couple LOL.

The music got the crowd jumpin' off around 11:45 with DJ Ty Boogie on the 1's & 2's. He was playing all of our old favorites. (Around the way Girl, You Remind Me, Renee, etc) By about 12:30, the crowd was crazy, and luckily there were more dudes that finally got up in the spot. I heard they started charging crazy prices around that time cause dudes were willing to pay whatever since so many females were there.

At about 1am, we moved to the other side of Prime, where DJ Self was killin' it!!! More people poured in awaiting the arrival of Trey Songz along with his "celebrity surprises." Around 2:30, Trey Songz was already in the building along with Ron Browz (pop champagne guy), Jim Jones, and a lot of dudes from Konvict Music. I'm thinking this is when a lot of the goons appeared cause dudes started taking off their shirts, and I swear I saw the dude that stole Yung Berg's chain...and I think he was wearing it.

People were having a ball...chicks were pissy drunk, and the fellas (esp those in VIP) were luvin' it. Around 3am, Trey Songz got on the mic, so watch the video below.









One chick was looking at me crazy cause one of the dudes from Konvict Music was talking to me...as in having a convo. I'm like uhhh no worries boo, with that dress on, he's sure to go home with you!

I'm not even sure if people bought individual drinks, cause depending on what you had on, the dudes let most of the females in VIP.

Surprisingly, we didn't leave until the end when I almost fell to my death due to spilled champagne (I'm sore so Prime may be hearing from my lawyer).

All in all, I'mma give this party a solid B+. The DJ's were amazing, the venue was cool, everyone loves Trey...but some of those females gave us "ladies" a baddddd name, and I wasn't feeling that part.

Again, sorry for the late recap but this recession got me grindin' exxtrra hard!

9.18 | B-Day Bash for Red Cafe @ Prime

I'm not gonna lie...I have NO idea who this "Red Cafe" person is. Supposedly he's signed to Akon's group, "Konvict Music, " but I personally have never heard of him (lol..not hatin, just sayin)

Either way tho, I'm hearin' this party should be good just off the strength of one of my favs, DJ Self, on the 1's & 2's & "supposedly," maddddd superstars are confirmed guests (ie: Vince Carter, Lil Kim, Fabolous, Akon, T-Pain, Terrance Howard, Maino, Jadakiss, Q-Tip, Styles P...and the list goes on)

So....this Thursday (9.18.08), come out to Prime (511 W. 28th St. btw 10th & 11th Ave.) to celebrate Red Cafe's & Candaycevon's Bday (fyi...homegirl is a pornstar so this may be a fab event for the fellas, but ladies....uhh I can't make any guarantees)

MINI RECAP: TERRENCE J.'S BIRTHDAY PARTY AT PRIME

106 & Park host Terrence J. held his birthday party last night at Prime (60 E 49th St) and everyone whose anyone was in the building including TheFab! Check out what NYFab! Correspondent Joy L. had to say below;

"Like most industry parties it began at 9 p.m., my girls and I arrived around 10:30 p.m. ready to party it up with the industries elite. There were a few people upstairs partying, but for the most part it was wack. We went downstairs where there were 12 times the amount of people and the music was much better. Immediately we began to spot celebs like LL Cool J, Melissa Ford, Little Mama, The Retro Kids, Keenyah, Manny (Keisha Coles manager), Neyo, random NFL players, and many more.

Although the music was good, people were not dancing, they were just standing around wanting to be seen (sigh it sucked). Little Mama screams to her friends that this is wack and gets in the middle of the dance floor and starts going hard by herself!

Terrence J. rolled in around midnight to the "Coming America Theme," he went all out with the music, drummers, dancers, and he even wore a crown; it was hilarious.

Since nobody was really dancing it was just an alright party. Around 1:30 a.m. everyone started to leave and headed to Lotus (409 W 14th St) another popular spot for B-list celebs in the city.


When we arrived at Lotus, everyone hit the dance floor including Ne-Yo! He was all up on some chick in a cat suit grinding on the dance floor way to hard. After 10 minutes of dancing with this random girl Ne-Yo motions to his bodyguard that its time to go, grabs her hand, and they're out.
