Recap | Gypsy Tea

I told yall I would be out 'n' about this week, so I went to support my boys Pejay & Mike of Reservoir Dawgs Ent. for their event at Gypsy Tea (W24th St & Broadway). There were clearly a million other promoters cause we were having issues getting in the spot. I heard it was $1 after 7pm for ladies, but when I get to the door, the heffa told me it was $5...and then she proceeded to let otha people in for $1. (you're wack by the way for tryin' to do it on the low like we wouldn't see you)

Either way, Mikey Mike saved the day and we got in. Now I must say that the DJ is always on point. I've never been to Gypsy before and not heard good music but the crowd wasn't as poppin' this week as usual. I'm guessing its because there are a whole bunch of new Thursday "after work" spots now so people are exploring their options.

Even though this is irrelevant, I tried to get some water from the bar and the chick told me its $2 for a cup of tap water and $5 for a bottle. So I asked her for some ice. (it was hot in there so I figured it would melt into water eventually) She told me that she can't give out ice without a drink so that was kind waccck too.

Either way, I'mma give this event a B. Just off the strength that I usually have a good time as long as the DJ is good, and I was able to see some of my peoples (whattup Franny cakes & the bruhs lol). People were dressed like they just came from work which was cool, and unlike former experiences in other cities, dudes didn't look like bums.
