Beyonce and Jay-Z both made Forbes 100 Most Power Celebrity list this year. They came in the top 10 with Beyonce at number 4 and Jay-Z at number 7. I'm loving that Beyonce came in 3 spots above him, it's the feminist in me!

Word is that they purchased a house six months ago in Scarsdale, NY (where they got their marriage liscense...mmmhmm.) and it's currently being worked on by NYC's finest construction company.

"Beyonce is worth an estimated $100 million and Jay-Z is worth estimated $300 million. She will have access to all the money, accounts, cars, NetJet private plane service, the yacht, homes and offices they share during the marriage. She will get $10 million after 2 years of marriage, then $1 million every year of marriage up to 15 years. $5 million dollars for every child she has by him. If they split, she will get $10 million plus a house worth $10 million and she will get to keep all clothes, jewelry and gifts earned during the marriage. "

Well folks here's what you've been waiting for, it's official (as if we didn't know), Beyonce and Jay-Z are legally married! Their marriage license documents were signed and released today.

FYI anytime 2 people are married in the United States it becomes apart of a public record; well congrats again Mr. and Mrs. Carter.

TMZ posted a copy of the Marriage License document today; it's a beautiful thing!

Sources are reporting that Beyonce and Jay-z are acting more in love than ever before (awww). They were in L.A. recently for Jay's Heart of the City tour and hosted a huge dinner for their family and closest friends, even Lindsay Lohan was there (uhhh).

New York Post calls Magazines Biased against Beyonce and Jay-Z Wedding

The New York Post called out mainstream media and tabloids today for being biased in not giving Jay-Z and Beyonce the cover of their magazines and front pages.


I must admit, I agree. When Eva, JLo, Britney, Reese and the rest of the A list stars were getting married, you couldn't go in a grocery or convenient store without seeing their face plastered on everything. SMH...some things never change.

Apparently New Yorkers and the rest of the country can't get enough of the Jay-z and Beyonce wedding updates. I've received emails, comments and phone calls to continue the updates. A tip to my ladies, if you ever want to spot Jay-Z for yourself, head down to 40/40 (6 w. 25th) on any big game night and its almost a guarantee that he'll be in the building.

I had the time of my life at Jay and B's wedding...sigh. Ok, ok, ok, I wasn't invited! However, I was around to see all the commotion going on and so were our NYFab! sources who were downtown on 4/4/08 the day the couple exchanged vows. Here's the scoop;

Paparazzi surrounded 195 Hudson street (Jay's apartment) waiting for wedding guest to arrive. As soon as a tent was placed on the roof of Jay's building we all knew something was up.

Guest included Matthew and Tina Knowles, Gloria Carter (Jay's mom), Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Steve Stoute, DJ Cassidy, Gweneth Paltrow, and Chris Martin (well those were the ones photographed at least).

Women were asked to wear Ivory and Gentlemen were asked to wear black. The tent was covered with flowers and candles and said to be very intimate.

You couldn't walk two feet in NYC today without hearing people talk about Jay-Z and Beyonce's wedding which is allegedly going down tonight in SOHO.

Sources are reporting that the wedding will be a star studded event and very intimate. In that case we're celebrating tonight; so Get Em' Bodied in the clubs and drink one for the King and Queen of Hip Hop!
