First off, the venue is gorgeous...and to be honest, I prolly couldn't capture its true beauty because ALL of NYC was in the club. (kudos to Gold Label for bringing the grown 'n' sexy/I got a job and degree crowd out because these days, thats such a refreshing feeling.) I think everyone was thinking, "F Wall St...we partyin!" and that they did!!!
So yea...did I mention that the spot was packed?!?! France Origine isn't huge but it took me like 10 minutes to reach to the other side once I entered the door...and when I finally got there, this dude warned me not to go downstairs cause the crowd got worst. And he wasn't lying! As I walked down the spiral staircase, I felt like I was looking towards the Million Man March, and I'm guessing thats about how many people were there. Either way, the crowd looked good. And by good, I mean that a good majority of ladies came looking fab!, and I only spotted a couple Yankee fitteds (is that a word? lol) roaming around.
(upstairs) (downstairs part I)
Due to the crowd, I had no choice but to go back upstairs and take a seat...and thats always the best time to see whats really going on cause you just watch the crowd start wilin' out. (plus my heels weren't equipped to be fighting thru crowds)
Everyone seemed to be sippin' on sumthin, and since we are in a recession, I had to think twice before actin' a fool @ the bar. (And yall already know I have my issues with NYC bars ever since I went to Gypsy Tea, and the chick tried to charge me for ice.) Luckily, FR.OG must also be feeling the recession because a rum 'n' coke along w/ Henny 'n' Baileys was only $20. (ewww to the latter drink...I know lol) For any city, those are excellent prices, so its no wonder that everyone had a glass or cup (or tea cup...omg Russ HAHA) in their hand.

You already know that my favorite thing to talk about regarding parties is the DJ. To me, the music can literally make or break the party...no matter how good or bad the crowd is. DJ Me was on the 1's & 2's, and though he's a nice guy, his transitions were a bit...ummm...scattered. For instance, he transitioned from Mad Cobra's "Flex" to "Watch Out for the Big Girls"... from "I Kissed the Girl" to "Byrd Gang Money" (thats my song, but still a random transition). Basically, he would just skip from one genre to the other with no warning. I'm no DJ, and I'm not hatin' cause he had good music...he just aint know when to play what.
Even with all that said, the party was still poppin' so I guess either the crowd was too drunk to notice the music, or maybe I'm too critical (prolly the 1st one tho lol).
