I am a sucker for partying for a cause and this soiree at the glistening Fr.Og (7 Spring Street) venue offered all the ameneties a chic charitable girl could have asked for. Granted, at the reasonable cost of a $10 minimum donation fee we weren't competing with Oprah's "Big Give" but I think for a night out on the town in t Soho, feeling much more fulfilled by some selfless giving beats out most nights out in NYC. Here's the scoop;
1. Location, Location..Location..Upon entering France Origine (7 Spring Street) one immediately feels as though she/he has entered an intimate and modern venue that isn't overwhelming but yet extremely classy. The unitimidating atmostphere gave life to an already righteous surrounding: attractive, young professionals partying to help support orphans and vulnerable children access education and disengage from child labor (alif.us) Amen.

2. Please Don't Stop the Muuuuusssakkk!! The music was very eclectic which was revered by the international crowd. I think most if not all of the favored top 40 hits were played plus some enticing reggae and early 90 hits which made most people pour their drinks they hadn't heard some songs in so long. Overall the range was great, the mixing could have been better however.
3. You look familiar or maybe.. Not! This was a wonderful opportunity to meet some new people in NYC. Most parties are attended by the same crowd, lets be real.This was a nice change of pace since the crowd had some obvious attendees but also a large non familiar factor.
4. Gimme gimme bars! It was also nice to have 2 areas to get drinks. I assumed since the venue wasnt enormous that everyone would be hovered at one bar, instead the set up allowed those to get relief from the hard core party heads on the 2nd level by getting drinks on the 1st level as well. The bartenders were really sweet as well which made the entire experience that much more enjoyable.
Cheers to the party with a phenomenal cause, looking forward to the next one.
