THE NUMBER ONE DRAFT PICK| DERRICK ROSE

The Knicks drew only the sixth pick in the upcoming NBA draft. Had they landed the first pick, they would have been assured of getting Derrick Rose, who is the best player in the nation right now. Now, draft projections say they may end up picking OJ Mayo, the USC guard and former high school phenom. Isaiah Thomas was finally fired as Knicks coach this year, thank God! After a few upsetting years with the Knicks it's time that we get a strong team and rally behind them. Let's go New York!

Check out some footage of the popular Derrick Rose below...

And the new Knicks star OJ May...

See NYFab! fellas I got you!:)

THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE TURNS 125!

One of my absolute favorite things to do in NYC is walk across the Brooklyn Bridge on a warm Spring/Summer night. You can practically see the entire city and it's incredibly romantic. If you have yet to take that walk, please do! The Bridge is 125 years old this week, watch the story here.

ROSCI DISSES 50 CENT

106& Park host Rosci disses 50 cent...

I'm so confused why would she go on record and say that?

She has no relevance, it's like asking for beef.

Head over to DCFab! to hear 50 Cent's response on a local radio station.

BECAUSE YOU LOVE IT| BEYONCE SPEAKS ON HER WEDDING

“I don’t deny it (the wedding). I just don’t talk about it. We’ve never talked about us and it’s kind of protected our relationship. I think it’s kept us out of tabloid drama. A lot of actresses that have had successful relationships don’t talk about them, so neither do I.”

-Beyonce

I feel you B, it's no one's business what you do in your personal life. I love them.

FUN FREE THINGS TO DO IN NYC!

Ok, is it just me or is living in this city getting more and more expensive by the day. If you're a resident of New York then you're probably sick of all the people who are always coming from out of town to crash at your place, it can be overhwhelming.

The money that you have to spend to entertain them doesn't help either! With summer approaching there is many fun and cheap things to do in the city! Take a look at a few places to go below;

RECAP: THE LEGENDS TO BE DINNER

Last Thursday I had the distinct honor of being invited to "The Legends to Be Dinner", which is a dinner to celebrate women who are already leaving their mark on the world. I spent the evening with up and coming successful women who were on their way to the top.

(Photo: The dinner at Lola's)

NYFab! power player Belle hosted the event with her good friend Nikki. Both women work in the entertainment industry and put this dinner together to honor their peers. Honorees included, publicist Nicole Marzan who launched her own PR company this year, Shannon Washington along with her business partner Hillary who launched an online magazine: ParlourMagazine.com

(Photo: Honorees (from L to R) Shannon, Nicole, and Hillary)

The dinner was held in a super swank restaurant in Manhattan, Lola's (15 Watts). If you've never been, I highly recommend stopping by. It is not only black owned but located in one of Manhattan's trendiest neighborhoods, Soho. And yes, the food was OFF THE HOOK!

(Photo: Nicole and her mom..awww)

An amazing night, I met great women who dropped a lot of knowledge on me. I left with a renewed sense of direction and felt inspired to dream bigger! A big shout out and thanks to Belle and Nikki for putting on such a marvelous event; you two are truly a force to be reckoned with!

***I'll be sure to put up more pics as they roll in***

Fabulous job ladies!
