Today (9.11.08) marks the 7-year anniversary of the horrific events that occurred on 9/11. There will be several memorial events around the city to honor and remember the victims of this devastating tragedy:
World Trade Center Site Memorial Ceremony and Remembrance:
The official NYC observance of the anniversary of 9/11 will take place at the World Trade Center site on the morning of Thursday, September 11th. The names of all 2,751 victims will be read aloud and four moments of silence will be observed to commemorate the times when each plane hit and each tower fell. At sunset, the famous "Tribute in Light" will return to the skies above New York City for the night.
