The spot itself is small, but intimate enough that folks can have a one-on-one conversation without feeling like they have to scream over everyone else. As I made my way through the crowd, I remembered that the DJ was one of the bruhs, so I headed ova to say hello. (DJ Jon Quick was killin' it fyi...) While walking through the crowd, I noticed that most people must have come straight from work because about half of the crowd was wearing professional attire. (another positive in my opinion...at least you can assume they are employed!)
(DJ Jon Quick)
When I walked in, one of the first things I noticed is the crowd. Most people ranged from their late 20's - late 30's, so I wouldn't recommend this spot to someone who's looking for the "bump-n-grind" crowd. Though I'm still young (2* to be exact lol), I can definitely appreciate a more mature crowd to socialize with.
Drinks were moderately priced with a rum-n-coke with a grey goose-n-cranberry priced at about $18. And I luv the fact that the bartenders are so friendly! I even saw them walking over to couches to hand guests their drinks...kinda like cocktail waitresses.
All in all, I'mma give this event a solid B. I didn't leave there saying, "omg I gotta go back," but I would definitely go there with my colleagues if they ever wanted to head up to my neck of the woods.
**Ladies, there were maddd men in there so if you're looking OG, check Moca Lounge out!
