Recap | Shyvonne @ OS Art House

I've been slackin' on my social skills so I decided to head out on Thursday night to see one of my favorite, up-n-coming singers!

NYFab! Correspondent, Shyvonne, performed live at the OS Art House (17 John St.), and myself along with the NYFab! crew (yes we have a crew...) headed out to support.

When we first got there, we had to go thru a maze before finally finding the actual Art House stage. The crowd in there seems...umm...kinda rock group like. You could definitely tell who was there to see her, but I like socializing wit tha rockers sometimes (lol) so I didn't complain.

Before I continue, I must make 2 special shout-outs: First, to the 85 yr old bartender that mixed a mean rum 'n' coke. I don't think I've ever seen an old man behind the bar, but he was making his money so you cant be mad...although he should work on his attitude cause it was stank (but he's like 85 so I would prolly be mad too serving people 60 years younger than me). Next, I must big up the bartender that gave me water in the tallest glass ever. Even if it was tap, he was still kind enough to put my water in a beer glass, and after a long day in the city, it was thoroughly enjoyed.

For anyone ever looking to do a perfomance in the city, I like OS Art House cause you have an option of sitting in chairs, or making the performance more "concert-like" by standing up. Its big enough so that you can breathe, but small enough so that you can enjoy the intimacy of your audience.

Her performance made me proud. Madddd people came out to support, and this was her first performance with a full, live band so this was an important occasion. Her style is the true definition of NYFab! so she made TFE smile (lol). You should know by now that I don't lie...even if you are my BFF, so I am 100% serious when I say she is someone you should look for in the future cause she's well on her way!!!
