To all of my ladies of color who live in Manhattan you know how impossible it is to find an affordable black owned hair salon in this city. In order to get your hair "styled" you have to travel to the depths of Brooklyn and who wants to go that far? I have found the answer to all of your problems!

Define Yourself Hair Salon( 56 W. 56 Street) is a black owned multi cultural hair salon. They cater to everyone, but specifically black woman. I was greeted with a smile, doughnuts, and orange juice as soon as I entered. I didn't have to wait at all! The salon is beautiful and they also provide nail service as well as waxing. It's a one stop shop!
