WEEKEND RECAP

Hi NYFab! fans, I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend, I know I did! Unfortunately, we here at NYFab! didn't get to make it out to ALL the parties this weekend, but check out a few of the recaps below.

After spending some qt time with the boo on Valentines day, I stepped went to check out Moomia (223 Broom Street). Alex: The Magazine, hosted a speed dating event at the popular Chinatown lounge. I must say I was surprised to see how many people came through on V-Day. There were people from all walks of life, but it was mainly an urban mix.

There was an open bar (for an hour) which offered two different drinks. One sip of whatever it was in those cups, and you were GOOD for the night. There was NO cover, with the exception of the Speed dating cost, which was $10 if you wanted to participate (went to a HIV awareness charity). The lounge had two medium size floors, but if 4 more people would have strolled in, I could see it getting uncomfortable. Overall, I had a good time and spotted some cuties. Check out the photos!

Recap: Branch

Three Kings hosted their Presedential Bash at Branch (226 E 54th street) this weekend. This is what an NYFab! correspondent had to say below;

"Upon walking up to the front door, you could tell the club was going to be packed! The door-man was trying to charge me and my girls $25 each (say whattttt), however we were able to talk him down. Although Branch isn't a HUGE club, there's enough room for everyone to have a good time, if this was a "regular" party that is. I feel like no matter how hard the "Kings" try they can never find a place with the right amount of room for their crowds. There was only 1 floor and 1 working bar! The d.j. of course was poppin, I just wish I had more room to dance. However, I did have a good night seeing EVERYONE I know (seeing as how their parties are an HBCU reunion every month). Besides the crowd and doorman trying to get over on me, I had a great time and I cannot wait until they do it again."
