Best Shopping:
H&M Fifth Ave (640 Fifth Ave, Upper East Side)
Almost every New Yorker shops at H&M and this mega store on the Upper East Side offers clothes and accessories that are always on spot with the trends and easy on the wallet.
Broadway (between Canel St. and Lafayette St.)
Walk up and down Broadway to do some serious Christmas Shopping (and don’t forget to pick up a few things for yourself!)
Best Unusual Gift:
Ricky NYC (Locations throughout the city)
Chain store with an in-your-face pop culture vibe and a killer selection of beauty products- everything form Burt’s Bee’s to Manic Panic – in addition to wildcard gifts, funky accessories, funny t-shirts and underwear.
Kid Robot (126 Prince St., Soho)
Barely bigger than a closet, this store is proof that adults do play with toys. This store has all kinds of Japanese vinyl toys, from super-collectible limited editions to tiny buy-in-bulk figures, as well as their own ultra-desirable line of hoodies, art, t-shirts, and books.
Best Browsing:
Tiffany & Co (727 Fifth Ave, Upper East Side)
Thanks to Audrey Hepburn, Tiffany is immortalized as the epicenter of New York glamour and jewels in the signature baby-blue boxes.
The Apple Store (767 Fifth Ave, Upper East Side)
Technology at it’s best! You can easily spend hours playing on computers, iPods, digital cameras, and iPhones. A 32-foot glass cube heralds the entrances to the underground playground, which is open 24 hours a day.
Best Christmas Windows:
Barney’s New York (660 Madison Ave, Upper East Side)
Barney’s creative director Simon Doonan is local celebrity, and his quirky windows take holiday inspiration from the most unlikely of sources, like Cher, Andy Warhol and Magic Johnson.
Macy’s (152 West 34th St., Herald Square)
After the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Macy’s ushers in the holiday season with their famous Christmas windows to keep the store as the heart of the celebration.
Best Places to Eat, Drink, and Be Merry:
The Spotted Pig (314 West 11th St., West Village)
The place is more famous than just being Beyonce and Jay’s number one spot, the Spotted Pig is home of ricotta dumpling soaked in a divine butter sauce. Come early for the best chance of getting a table. Enjoy!
Coffee Shop (29 Union Square West, Union Square)
Diners from all directions flock to this centrally located café, where the classic American food is basic not boring, and the staff is exceptionally attractive.

Take a carriage ride, ice skate or simply stroll. This is the heart of romance in New York where your winter wonderland will come true.
