Washington Redskins defensive back Sean Taylor died Tuesday morning, a day after he was shot by an intruder at his home in Palmetto Bay, Florida. Taylor died at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, where he was airlifted after the shooting Monday morning; he was just 24 years old. He never regained consciousness after the shooting, Sharpstein (his ex-lawyer) said.
“It’s a senseless, tragic death that was so unnecessary, another example of the incessant violence in — not only our community — but the country now.”
